Have the most wonderful time at The Wallace Collection

You’re invited to The Wallace Collection for a festive celebration on Saturday 9 December, 5-8pm. The perfect place to pause, gaze at beautiful artworks, eat something delicious and ease into that Christmas spirit.

Located in Manchester Square, The Wallace Collection is best known for its masterpieces of painting, sculpture, furniture, arms and armour, and porcelain. From 28 November, the home of one of the world’s greatest art collections will be specially decorated with garlands, wreaths and Christmas trees. There is no better place to take a break from Christmas shopping than this Marylebone Village haven.

After admiring their festive decorations, enjoying the lovely Turner and Bonington: Watercolours display and buying essential stocking-fillers, enjoy a festive lunch or traditional afternoon tea in The Wallace Restaurant’s glamorous courtyard.

The gift shop also has an incredible selection of Christmas tree decorations; from traditional beaded and hand-decorated baubles to a gorgeous woolly angelic poodle, a badger in a jaunty jumper and a little mouse wearing a snazzy waistcoat.

On Saturday 9 December, the museum will stay open until 8pm, offering you a chance to savour highlights of the Collection, such as Rembrandt’s touching portrait of his son Titus and Jean-Honoré Fragonard’s The Swing. The Wallace Collection is also inviting you to join one of their drop-in workshops to create your own signature wrapping paper and listen to traditional carols before indulging yourself with a choice of festive nibbles. Their chefs have prepared a fabulous menu of small plates, including seasonal savoury bites, hearty festive dishes and incredible winter salads, plus a selection of artisanal charcuterie and cheese and winter cocktails.

Make sure to stop by The Wallace Collection for their complimentary evening filled with treats  – it’s an event not to be missed. Find out more here!
