Marylebone Summer Festival: Bark in the Park

We’re excited to be partnering with YapYap to host this year’s ‘Bark in the Park’ dog show at Marylebone Summer Festival on Sunday 9 June. Visit St Marylebone Parish Church Gardens to enjoy a whole day of canine merriment from 11am.

YapYap was born as a humble way to connect busy dog parents. Originally starting as Maltipoos of London, they have evolved into a vibrant community and organisation embracing all dog breeds. They bring together dog owners and their beloved companions for enjoyable and memorable experiences. YapYap currently stands as a thriving network of over 2,000 passionate and engaged dog owners.

YapYap will be bringing the canine residents of Marylebone Village a day of activities, workshops and shopping including a puppuccino cart, pawtrait illustrations, doggy tarot card reading, photo opportunities, competitions and much more!

The day will be dedicated to dog lovers, dog owners and, of course, the dogs themselves. Get your tickets here.

Dog Competitions
The competitions will kick-off at 11:30am, with prizes to be won in a whole range of categories such as ‘Best Rescue’, ‘Most Talented’ and ‘Cutest Pup’. There’s space for pups of all ages and sizes!

There is a £10 fee to enter per dog and all funds will be donated to our charity partner Young Westminster Foundation. Each entry includes a goodie bag.

The event will be presented by BBC Radio London’s presenters, Jo Good and Anna Webb - a duo who know a thing or two about the canine world themselves, having co-authored the book Barking Blondes and held the first-ever dedicated dog broadcasting slot – The Barking Hour – on BBC Radio London.

Tarot card reading
Enjoy bespoke tarot card readings for you and your pet. Sally Page has been a renowned healer and Reiki master since 2017. Tarot is a reflection of life in picture form and Sally reads the cards intuitively. A guidance tool to help you and your pet.

Paper pawtrait
Capture your memories and your dog with a bespoke, hand-crafted sketch from your favourite photos from 11am to 5pm. The perfect gift for you and your pup Sophie Stock Art immortalises your pup in a range of mediums from pencil to watercolour.

Photo booth
Enjoy a dedicated dog photoshoot to celebrate their uniqueness and the beautiful bond you share from 11am to 5pm. Raven Imagery are renowned for photographing some of the most well-known London dog Influencers and a range of breeds and ages at some of London's most notable landmarks.

Silhouette cutting
Alison Russell is a renowned London based silhouettist with over 20 years' experience cutting silhouette profiles. She has performed at a multitude of notable venues including the Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi, St. James Palace, the Royal Academy of Arts, for celebrities such as Victoria Beckham, Princess Anne, Dame Shirley Bassey, fashion designer Paul Smith, T.V. chef Gordon Ramsey, presenter Jonathon Ross, and many more.

Trick training
Insta-famous dachshund @daisydogtherapy and her owner Dr Claire will be running a trick training workshop at 2pm. Dr Claire works for the NHS and Daisy comes along to the hospital and school visits to provide children with animal assisted therapy. They also host monthly Daisy’s Dachshund meetups in London. Don’t miss this fun activity!

Doggy Massage Workshop
Take part in a Doggy Massage workshop with Grace of Len’s Lunchbox at 4pm. As a certified practitioner of both Whole Energy Body Balance Bodywork for Pets and Energywork for Animals Grace will teach you all the tips and tricks to treat your pup to a well-earned massage.

Agility workshop
